We could define him as the beautiful and bold of mixology: that he is beautiful is clear for all to see, and he knows it too; that he is bold is, perhaps, the most powerful weapon he carries with him. Someone who knows how to play with his image, who knows how to flaunt it, but, most importantly, who doesn’t allow his image to eat him alive. He reminds us a bit of Mickey O'Neil in Snatch: a character who always has a ready comeback, that innate charm of someone who wakes up in the morning, throws on a random piece of clothing and already looks cool (hard to tell if he studies it or if it just comes naturally to him) and, above all, that emotional intelligence that forces you to love him.

OUTSIDE THE BOX

It is fascinating to hear someone talk about belonging to a company as if it were a blood bond; there is something strangely intriguing in those words because, let’s be clear, we are in an era of transfer markets (and we are not saying that is wrong) and there is something even more exciting than being told the path that led to the acquisition of a brand like Fusetti (for all the details we are sorry, but you will have to sit at Smile's table with a beer in hand and listen directly to him).

“In my journey as a brand ambassador, they have always helped me, especially at the beginning when I was fragile and inexperienced. I don’t feel like a number, I feel like part of the company, and you feel this thing in moments that touch you deeply, when you go through losses that you shouldn’t have to go through. Families who believe in me, I am the only technician so they listen to me on market moves.”

CALL THEM LIMITS

I watched Billy Elliot many years ago and I must be honest that today it was Marco Fedele who connected a character. For the first time, Spaghetty will use a connection that is not its own, but we cannot go against all of that. Because, in every single way, he reminds us of Billy and he reminds us of him in that desire to be himself, in that desire to slam his own personality on the table, in that desire to accept what society would call limits. And so it is fun for us too, for once, to just stand by and watch.

“I am like Billy Elliot, for me the bar is dance. I always have a desire for creativity, to always be at 3000, I should rest but I want to do things, I like to create teams... I never stand still. I left Palermo even though I was doing very well there and I ended up in Rome; I landed in Civitavecchia at the Molinari plant like a refugee, seeing that place and after 12 years ending up working there is emotional.”

I AM A GREAT BULLSHITTER

And let’s say it clearly, he really is. But you have to know how to do it with intelligence, because it takes just a moment to go from likeable to annoying; it takes a good balance and that intrinsic ability to know how to filter. That he likes himself is clear for all to see, that he has no fear of showing himself is evident, but even when he gets to talk about hidden sides of his person, even when he talks without any brakes about sex, you realize that he is still not telling you anything about himself.

“I am a great bullshitter, Sanna says 'you are the faggot of yourself'. Do I like myself? Alternately. I change based on my mood, I change based on the thoughts I have in my head, it depends on the hours. I like everything, even my facets, my touchiness even though I am modifying it, I am much more peaceful, I am calm, but I am more zen. I like myself on alternate days, I change my look every day, it makes me feel at ease. Even on a sexual level, I no longer have limits... Are you really sure you don’t have limits? I am opening my horizons to everything. I mean in food, I would eat anything, same thing in clothing, in sex. Days when I bury myself and days when I feel like a lion.”

WE ARE ALL RUNNING LIKE CRAZY

We are all running, without a very precise destination, we run and we no longer take time for ourselves. And we convince ourselves of the biggest lie of our century: that we don’t have time. But an hour or two a week to dedicate to our person, we all have them (trust me, if you looked at the weekly report of the hours you dedicate to your social channels you would realize it, but we know well that you know it). The thing that worries us most is that from this race against time that we all run, we are losing sight of true values, we are losing sight of ourselves (we'll reveal a secret: even spending an evening on the couch doing nothing and looking at the ceiling is cool). And so perhaps this is already an answer to the question we often ask ourselves about why people no longer want to make sacrifices. And in this race against time we have forgotten what it means to be curious, we have forgotten what it means to read an instruction manual (because it is easier to go on GEMINI and get help), but above all we have all become a bit too identical.

“Training 3 times a week is a commitment for me, but I cannot lose an hour with my trainer… it means taking time for oneself. In my opinion, a low percentage of bartenders is starting to take a moment of relaxation... I couldn't live without it. We have all arrived, nobody asks themselves questions. We don’t even know how a dishwasher works and in a bar we use it 24/7. There is no respect for the final work from people, there is a lack of emotional intelligence, a lack of education and respect. Sometimes they give you rude answers and you feel bad about it, it’s exhausting, I understand why many change.”

MARCO FEDELE IS LOOKING FOR A WIFE

Marco Fedele

It could be a provocation, a fucking funny title, but there is a grain of truth. Perhaps he is not really looking for a wife, but perhaps he still believes in that deep bond that is created between people, in that desire to build and respect. And it is a very beautiful passage, remember that he is a bullshitter, because it is evident that he truly knew love, he experienced it through the eyes of a child who watched his parents love each other.

“I call her MAMMINCHIA. I have to thank God because my parents would have made 50 years of marriage, a visceral love for us and for themselves. I could do whatever I wanted but you had to respect values. If they close you in too much you make mistakes, but with trust in love you feel obliged not to lose it. I would like to have a bit of serenity, I would like someone who understood me. I love making someone feel good, I would like to be able to give warmth to someone. I love being alone, but I would like someone who would make me relive that love I knew at home.”

Someone who in the morning can even throw on a random piece of clothing and already look cool, yes, but who under his jacket hides something that not even we were able to read or that, perhaps, we did not want to tell. And we take home that he is someone who uses his image to be looked at and appreciated, but who keeps the most alive part of himself hidden inside. And perhaps, he is just right.
