Four months of blackout, a restyling that streamlines its iconic layers, and an exclusive debut with the USA delegation. The Doping Club has reopened in Piazza XXIV Maggio, evolving beyond a mere venue into a prototype for elite hospitality. We spoke with Bar Manager Nicola Romiti.
"Doping" has always been an institution of aesthetic complexity. However, in September 2025, it chose silence not for a superficial facelift, but for a genetic evolution necessary to project the soul of the Navigli toward international luxury standards under the Aethos brand.

The Supreme Test: The USA Delegation

While the city enjoyed the spectacle, Nicola Romiti’s team faced an unprecedented management challenge. Before its public reopening on March 6th, the club served as the exclusive headquarters for the United States delegation during the Olympics. It was a grueling technical and logistical trial.
"Precision had to be millimetric," Romiti explains. "We managed flows of 200 to 250 people a day, with the kitchen and bar perfectly synchronized for non-stop service from 4:00 PM to midnight. Standards were incredibly high, and plans changed by the minute."
The new Doping was forged during these months behind closed doors: a year of work that transformed the staff into an elite team. "The team grew under constant pressure; today, the group is a perfect machine where discipline meets continuous training. We don't look for exploitation; we look for excellence."

Design: Evolving Eccentricity

The charm of Doping has always been its visual density. The restyling integrated historical pieces into the new Aethos code, enhancing the "disruptive elements" that make the venue unique. Every piece of modern art and every relic is now part of a more fluid narrative. This is the original mold: the blueprint for future openings is born here, in Piazza XXIV Maggio. "The style adapts to the world, but the soul remains deeply linked to Milan and Monte Rosa. We export a method, not a copy."

Total Synergy: Beyond the Bar Concept

The new direction raises the bar. Today, The Doping Club positions itself as a world-class Luxury Hotel Bar, where the kitchen and the bar counter operate at the same high speed. The difference-maker is the sense of belonging to an international structure while maintaining a fiercely independent identity.
"In three years, the core team has remained almost unchanged," Nicola concludes. In an industry known for high turnover, this stability is the true luxury: the certainty of finding people who believe in the project and have transformed service into an art of precision.

The Verdict

The Doping Club returns to the Milanese scene with a newfound awareness of its strength. It has successfully renewed itself without betraying its roots. Today, it is the place where the complexity of collecting meets the rigor of the world's great international clubs.
